What is FWD Kasih?
FWD Takaful Berhad is committed to extending takaful protection to the most vulnerable individuals in the community. In line with this commitment, FWD Takaful Berhad has introduced FWD Kasih, an online micro-Takaful plan specially designed for individuals in the B40 group, aiming to alleviate their financial burdens during unforeseen situations.
The FWD Kasih product complies with Syariah principles, specifically incorporating the concepts of Wakalah, Tabarru', Ju'alah, and Qard. Wakalah refers to a contract where the participant appoints a Takaful Operator to manage the Participant's Risk Fund and agrees to give a certain remuneration to the Takaful Operator as agreed upon for the services provided. Tabarru’ means a donation for the purpose of takaful. Ju’alah represents a reward given to the Takaful Operator for good performance in the management of the Participant's Risk Fund. Qard arises when the Participant's Risk Fund has a deficit, and an interest-free loan is offered with the loan being repaid from future surpluses from the Participant's Risk Fund.
